As a new family, you may have questions about what to expect on your first day and how to prepare.

• For your child’s safety, only tennis shoes or sneakers with a skid-resistant sole are allowed.
• Necklaces, hoop or dangling earrings are not permitted, since jewelry can get accidentally pulled or caught during play.

• Backpacks are not allowed in all centers, so please check with your director.

• Enter the house using the front door ring the bell.
• Accompany your child to the classroom, and ensure a teacher is aware of your arrival.
• Your child’s reaction to his/her first day will vary. Some children run right into the classroom while others cry. Both of these reactions – and any in between – are completely normal.

Health, Safety & Security
Nothing matters more than your child's health and safety. Rest assured; we take every precaution to ensure your child is safe when they spend their day with us.
Our family daycare follows health, safety, and disinfection guidelines based on guidelines from the CDC and state and local departments of health.
I am trained on these health and safety practices and are also certified in first aid and CPR.
Security Cameras & Additional Safety Measures
- The front door is secured with locks entry, so only authorized families may enter. Visitors must sign-in and present a valid ID to enter our building.
- Our family daycare is equipped with outside security cameras.
- Our playgrounds are fenced and secured with gates to ensure your child can play outdoors safely.
- We continuously monitor all children, including when they enter or exit the house.
- Our school has smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, and both are regularly inspected.
- I am certified in first aid and CPR.
